MHS Alliance announces transition

By Mim Shirk

GOSHEN, Ind.—Rick Stiffney, MHS Alliance president and CEO, has announced that Keith Stuckey, vice president, plans to leave in March 2012. Stuckey has accepted a position as chief executive officer of Resource Partners in Lancaster, Pa. He has worked with MHS Alliance as vice president for 12 years.

“Keith has provided an outstanding contribution to MHS Alliance,” Stiffney said. “His business acumen and strategic leadership have been instrumental in developing several successful products and programs. We are sorry to see him leave.”

Stuckey has enjoyed the opportunity to serve with MHS Alliance. “Working with the Anabaptist Providers Group of retirement communities as well as the MHS Alliance membership as a whole has provided a sense of ministry,” he said. “I look forward to collaborating with MHS Alliance in serving its members through Resource Partners.”

Resource Partners offers multiple lines of insurance and self-insured programs.

Mennonite Health Services Alliance is committed to preserving high-quality service to members and clients during this transition, and will continue to maintain a strong staff presence in the eastern region. In the near term, Stuckey’s primary duties and responsibilities will be covered by Stiffney; Mim Shirk, vice president; Dennis Russell, vice president; and Moniqua Acosta, program and member services manager.

An internal assessment of key skill sets and structure will be completed, and a search for new staff leadership will be underway within the next few months.

Stuckey will end his service with MHS Alliance on March 9, 2012.

MHS Alliance is a national network of Anabaptist health and human services ministries. MHS Alliance supports its member organizations and other faith-based, not-for-profit organizations through shared services, consultation, and peer engagement in order to help these organizations fulfill their missions.
