Wil LaVeist

Wil LaVeist is chief communication officer for Mennonite Church USA, responsible for the strategic direction of the denomination’s communications and management of the communications team. He also concurrently serves as senior executive of advancement for Mennonite Mission Network, managing the Donor Relations and Marketing and Communication departments. A former newspaper columnist, multimedia journalist and executive for major media organizations, LaVeist has executive level experience in community relations and outreach with major nonprofits and churches and is a published author of four books. He has a doctorate in technology and media studies from Old Dominion University, Norfolk, Virginia, a master’s degree in journalism from The University of Arizona and a bachelor’s degree in English from The Lincoln University of Pennsylvania. LaVeist is a member of Calvary Community Church in Hampton, Virginia.
